The matte/matte finish feels great and doesn't catch the light during play. After a few weeks of shuffling, the corners are still holding up nicely.

Went with the gloss/matte combo since I shuffle a lot during games and wanted the backs to stay slick while the fronts cut down on glare. They fit my cards snug without that loose bubble at the top like cheaper sleeves.

Went with the gloss/matte combo so the fronts stay shiny for shuffling while the backs don't glare under table lights. The cards slide in smooth and the corners haven't caught once after a few dozen games.
