This expansion features a double-sided game board of Allegheny & La Pampa:
In Allegheny, players explore the Pennsylvania connections of this version of the game with slight modifications to the rules.
In La Pampa, Argentina opens up new areas of exploration, starting in Buenos Aires.
Both maps feature new ways in which the 6 railroad companies are introduced in the game!
The double-sided board is a clever touch since you basically get two expansions in one box. The Allegheny side tweaks the Pennsylvania connections just enough to feel fresh without relearning the whole game. Played it three nights in a row and we're still finding new route combos.
Swapping to the La Pampa map completely changed how my group plans routes, way tighter than the Pennsylvania side. The board itself is sturdy and lays flat right out of the box.
The double-sided board is a great touch since we can flip from Allegheny to La Pampa without hauling around two separate boxes. The tweaks to the Pennsylvania connections make the routes feel fresh even after dozens of plays on the base map.
