The Change in History promo explores the ‘What If’ scenario for both the Nixon Administration and the Journalist player.
Change in History can also be used to balance strong players by having only the inexperienced player begin the game with their promo card.
I picked this up mainly to balance our group since one player always runs away with it, and the promo does exactly that without feeling punishing. Being able to play out the journalist's alternate path too gave us a whole second night of replay.
The What If setup for the Nixon side is the part I keep coming back to, and it lands completely differently every time depending on who's at the table. Using it to rein in whoever's been running away with the game works better than I expected.
Playing as the journalist and getting a whole alternate path for how the story could've gone is such a clever twist. I also like that you can drop it in to balance out a table when one player is running away with things.
