I didn't expect the weight of these little trains to make such a difference, but picking up the metal pieces instead of the flat cardboard ones feels so much better during a game. Getting 30 in each color means I never run short, even in a five-player session.
The magnetic pull when you pluck them from the tray is oddly satisfying, and each of the 30 trains per color makes setup a breeze. They add a nice heft to the board that plastic just can't match, and the detail on the engines is crisp enough to admire up close.
The weight of these little metal trains makes every placement feel more deliberate, and the 30 per color means we finally have enough to run a full network without borrowing pieces. They clink satisfyingly against the board too, which is a bonus. The artful finish on the locomotives is a nice touch
